Samsung Galaxy S5's camera-variant, the Galaxy K zoom, is all set to enter the Indian market. Amazon India has confirmed the launch via a teaser image on its website and has also revealed that the handset will be exclusive to it.
The Amazon India teaser image shows a 'coming soon' tagline for the Samsung Galaxy K zoom with no word on the release date. Notably, the online retailer is also running a Galaxy K zoom contest for consumers that will end on July 13, which tips that the Galaxy K Zoom might see the light of the day in mid-July. The news broke out with a tweet from Amazon India about the new camera-focused handset.
Samsung Galaxy K zoom runs on Android 4.4.2 out of the box with 2GB on-board RAM and 8GB storage. The good part is that micro SD of up to 64GB is supported and is very much needed. This handset comes with a single Micro SIM slot and sports a 4.79 inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Screen is Super AMOLED with corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The main feature is the 20.7MP camera with 10x zoom. Now this is not a digital zoom but optical zoom (24 – 240mm) wherein the Lens will move back and forth. There is Xenon and LED flash plus image stabilization too. A secondary camera is also included with a 2MP resolution. You can shoot videos in 1080p at 60 fps.
